[Blog] The BIBLE says it all

While the world says, to follow your heart
The Bible says, "Guard it for everything you do flows from it." (Proverbs 4:23)


While the world says, you are ugly,
The Bible says, "You are wonderfully made by God" (Psalm 139:14) and "God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him." (Genesis 1:27)


While the world says, it's okay to answer back to our parents so long as we have a point,
The Bible says, "Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death." (Matthew 15:4)


While the world says, it's okay to have pre marital sex,
The Bible says, "Your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit who is in you. Honor God with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:19a and 20b)


While the world says, it's okay to live together before getting married,
The Bible says, "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." (Hebrews 13:4)


While the world says, it's okay to have extramarital relationships,
The Bible says, "...each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband." (1 Corinthians 7: 2-3)

While the world says, "do not get mad, get even"
The Bible says, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

While the world says, you have to do everything to get rich even if it takes hours in the office,
The Bible says, "Do not wear yourself out to get rich;do not trust your own cleverness." (Proverbs 23:4)


While the world says, do good deeds so you can get to heaven,
The Bible says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)



These are just a few of things that the world contradicts with God's will. The world will mislead you so be guided by the light that only comes from God. However, we must not forget that someone paid for our sins by dying on the cross and only Jesus can save us from our sins. In Him, we are new creations - the old has gone, the new has come. I said...

Are You there?
Are You actually there?
Why I see nothing but sky?
Shouldn't You be within my sight?

Do You hear me?
Do You listen to me?
In my cry and my plea,
Do You just want me to flee?

Why can't I feel You?
Why say near me and no You?
Why people believe You and Your power,
When there's no one at the tower?


YOU say...

I AM here.
Always around you and near.
Didn't I say that you walk in faith
And not plainly by sight?

I heard you my child,
Every word you said and cried.
Wait, believe in faith
For time is your friend and mate.

I AM around
And my love for you abounds.
What people say cannot make you feel better
Because only I AM the source of love and more.


I say now...

His love warmed my heart so cold
And cleansed me as white as a snow.
His love remains unchanged forever
For He is God not bound by time ever.

"I love you, my child"
Is what God engraved in my heart.
My soul delights in the Lord,
As I say and write every word.

Let me worship You, Lord
Let my heart beat for You
That my mouth utter each word
Of praises deserved by a Mighty One like You.

Your greatness I will sing
With a heart of no shame
For only love that You bring
To a world where sin is fame.

You God are slow to anger
And You condemn the sin not the sinner
For Your love is immeasurable
Only You are willing to give and able.

My God, my dad
You never fail to make me glad
As promises You gave in Your word
Abound us with such grace to the world.

We exalt You, oh Lord
We're empowered by Your word.
The highest seat and regards You deserve
In our hearts Your name is carved.

Great
YOU.

[Poem] I bleed my heart to You

Oh God I ask for forgiveness
Let my heart go boast with less
Of myself I speak and soar
But You shall I exalt all more.

Let Your Spirit come upon me
So I can be guided indeed
With only the light that comes from Thee
That tears down the wall of darkness and greed.

Oh God please reign in me
Reign in my soul and in my deeds
For You are the one who can calm me
In distress Your word feeds.
