What are we?? A Fake or A Real friend??

I received an email the other night about the difference between Real and Fake Friends. I thought it was one of those usual forwarded messages I get everyday but there was more to it. It was everything that I wanted to say to describe my friendship, my 4 year old friendship with two wonderful women in my life --- Gin and Anny.

I just wanna share the whole poem with all of you and see if you or your friends are for real or for reel. :-)

FAKE FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
REAL FRIENDS: is the reason you have no food.

FAKE FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr / Mrs
REAL FRIENDS: Call your parents DAD/MOM

FAKE FRIENDS: never seen you cry
REAL FRIENDS: cry with you

FAKE FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back
REAL FRIENDS: keep your stuff so long they forget it's yours

FAKE FRIENDS: know a few things about you
REAL FRIENDS: Could write a book about you with direct quotes from you

FAKE FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing
REAL FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds butt that left you

FAKE FRIENDS: Would knock on your front door
REAL FRIENDS: Walk right in and say 'I'M HOME!'

FAKE FRIENDS: Are for awhile
REAL FRIENDS: Are for life

FAKE FRIENDS: will talk bad to the person who talks bad about you.
REAL FRIENDS: Will knock the person out that talked bad about you

FAKE FRIEND S: Would ignore this
REAL FRIENDS: Will send this to all their real friends and hope to get it back!

------------

Reading through this poem, it struck me that I am the 7th comparison. Gin told me that she is the 4th and Anny is the 5th. Realizing that we have been together for 4 wacky years made me think, what's next after this? Now that Anny is leaving us behind to pursue her maternal career (hehehehe...), what's up with me and Gin? What's up with our friendship? We promised to each other that no matter what happens, we will remain friends even when our hair turns to gray, we will still be together laughing out loud minus those sparkling white teeth.

To my dear friends, thank you for the gift of YOU. Enough for being mushy but I am truly blessed to have good people like you to crowd me for there is never a crowd when your friends surround you.

I love you Gin and Anny!
