Grace is a nice word but if we go deeper to its meaning beyond the word itself then you'd realize how huge it is. I associate grace with God for He is the best giver of such to every one and I mean you and me and the rest of the world. But let us define GRACE first. It is something given to us which we don't deserve. Can you think of something you received that you feel you don't deserve at all? Imagine, you were at the Oprah Winfrey Show and on that day she gave away brand new cars for each of her audience. Do you think you deserve it considering that it was your first time to have heard about her and her show? I'm pretty sure you'd have tears of joy but God can give better than that. Something that will sustain you.
Don't you think it's awesome to know that you can see the sun shining in the morning after bidding the moon good night? If you do, have you wondered why is this so? It's something no one can fathom. It's God's grace. He chose you and I to witness this wonder. How the sun dries up the dew of dawn and lights up the once alley swallowed up by darkness last night. Ain't that cool? The air that we breathe; our mobility; our intellect - these are just a few of the things God gave that we never ever deserve of having. We have these because He chose to. On the other hand, if He is not a great God, He would have chosen otherwise.
His greatness has been known for having a calendar of His week of creation. Even at that time, He knew that you and I will exist and that we will fall short of His grace but His mind has the best of our interest. He created night and day so we can have a time to rest after a day's work and so on with the rest of His creation. Even after Adam and Eve disobeyed God, thus the birth of original sin, He still wanted to keep us around Him by redeeming us. God sent His only begotten Son to pay for our sins so we will not be eternally separated from Him. He wants a relationship with us after all.
Now, who can say that we deserve all of these? God got His hands dirty to create us out of mud and breathe life through us. Adam and Eve may have committed a sin which rippled even in our times but Jesus paid for our sins even before our existence. He paid for our past, present and future sins by shedding of His blood. And not just that, He made sure that as He goes, The Counselor (Holy Spirit) was left with us to help us grow in our journey. All these things will not be possible if not for His grace. There are so many things that I am fired up to share about grace but this is enough for the day. On the other hand, may His grace be enough for us all. God bless us.
